future of the Organization and advises that the local activities
should be consistent with the overall JCI philosophy and Mission.
New Members
Orientation - One Hour Seminar
This manual, with notes for
the trainer and handouts for the participants, is designed to help
your chapter teach new members about Junior Chamber mission,
philosophy, creed, activities, opportunities, etc. It can also be
used to sell Junior Chamber to potential members. Follow up should
be done with the New Members Project Seminar.
New
Members Project - One Hour Seminar
This manual, with notes for
the trainer and handouts for the participants, should be used as a
follow-up or in conjunction with the New Members Orientation
Seminar. Members will survey the community needs, decide on a
project through a Brainstorming session, and select the New Members.
Project Committee. Ideal for chapters with problems in activating

Three teams of outstanding
trainers are working hard developing the three courses that,
together with JCI Achieve, will complete the Local
Academy Courses aimed to train local officers.
JCI Achieve is a Chapter Development
course that covers Our Business, Our Mission, Our Brand, Our Market
and Our Membership.
JCI Admin will cover all aspects of
Chapter Management, including officers' responsibilities, meetings,
finances, communications, and programs.
JCI Adventure will be a course based on
fun outdoor activities to promote team building and membership
interaction.
JCI Advance a course for Local
Leaders, will be based on the principle that a person needs only
basic qualities and skills that can be developed to become respected
and followed by peers at the local level.
